Palo Alto, CA. – Applied Research Works, Inc. (ARW), a visual analytics and actionable dashboard technology provider for health plans and risk-bearing entities, today announced their certification of all 25 California Pay for Performance (P4P) measures currently administered by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). This certification allows their flagship product, Cozeva®, to display, measure, and report P4P measures through actionable provider dashboards which guide physicians and their practices towards ever improving quality outcomes, increased pay-for-performance and most importantly, better patient outcomes.
Cozeva provides a common framework where both health plans and practices can guide, monitor and manage their daily progress towards quality, cost and access goals using Cozeva’s near real-time environment. Physicians and their practices can act upon any care opportunity identified in Cozeva by either adding clinical information to correct the record or engaging directly with the patient for the necessary care. “We’re proud to be among an exclusive group of vendors who has achieved IHA P4P certification for 2015. We’re also proud to be the only platform that is certified not only by NCQA but also by ONC, Direct Trust, and Drummond as a HIT, HIE, and EHR which enables us to better serve our clients,” said Shaibal Roy, CEO of Applied Research Works. This is the first year Cozeva has participated in the California P4P measure certification process. The P4P program is administered by the Integrated Healthcare Association on behalf of 10 health plans representing nearly 10 million insured people. The P4P program is the longest running U.S. example of data aggregation and standardized results reporting across diverse regions and multiple health plans, reporting results for approximately 35,000 physicians in about 200 physician organizations. Cozeva currently services nearly 750 practices of which nearly 70% are logged into Cozeva daily. About NCQA NCQA is an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to measuring the quality of America’s health care. The majority of IHA’s P4P measures are adapted from the NCQA HEDIS® (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set) measures, a set of standardized performance measures designed to make sure purchasers and consumers have the information they need to reliably compare the performance of managed healthcare organizations. About IHA The Integrated Healthcare Association manages P4P and convenes all relevant committees. In July 2000, IHA convened health care stakeholders to address and coordinate statewide efforts to measure and improve clinical quality, patient experience, use of information technology and publicly report provider performance results. As a result, the P4P measures were defined as a common set of key measures, relying on national standards or on evidence-based medical practices, to measure PO performance, enable consumers to make informed provider choices and facilitate performance-based health plan incentive payments to POs based on aggregated measure performance results.
