The Integrated Healthcare Association’s (IHA) Virtual Stakeholders conference this year honored many of Cozeva’s clients with special awards for their quality of care. Cozeva users represented 50% of the Excellence in Healthcare awardees at the 2021 IHA Virtual Stakeholders conference – demonstrating Cozeva’s breadth, depth and commitment to California’s quality of care goals.
IHA’s conference also took time to address how health equity was central to their mission. Attendees heard from panelists on improving health equity, central data management in California, and stabilizing quality performance through another turbulent pandemic year.
CEO, Yin Ling Leung, who brings decades of community health experience to ARW, believes that improving quality care is both a clinical and health economics structural challenge. “I learned from the conference this nuanced distinction between social determinants of health (SDoH) and health equity. Identifying SDoH barriers is like a process metric whereas health equity is a powerful and telling outcome metric.”
“Our clients work tirelessly day in and day out to make sure every human being under their care gets their vaccinations, preventive screenings and chronic conditions taken care of in the best way possible. We aim to take on the SDoH data issues including gathering the elusive race, ethnicity and language data so that our clients will be able to do their best to achieve health equity.”
Leung added, “We are so elated to see so many of our clients on this list and our team takes pride that we could do our small part as a technology company to enable their achievements,”
