Fremont, CA – February 6, 2023 – Cozeva has successfully passed the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) Certification (g)(10) Standardized API via Drummond Group LLC, an ONC Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB). To pass this certification, a company must demonstrate that its software or technology meets the high standard set by ONC for interoperability, security, and usability according to the 21st Century Cures Act.
ONC Health IT Certification is a rigorous process designed to ensure that healthcare technology is able to effectively and accurately exchange data with other systems and that it is secure and easy to use. Companies that pass ONC Certification are able to demonstrate that their technology meets these standards and is therefore well-suited for use in the healthcare industry.

According to Rupinder Singh, Chief Technology Officer at Cozeva,
“Obtaining ONC Certification (g)(10) is a major achievement for Cozeva, as it confirms that our technology fully adheres to the FHIR and SMART on FHIR standards for interoperability and data exchange in healthcare. This certification validates our commitment to delivering the highest quality technology to healthcare providers, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange.”
Passing this certification is an important step for Cozeva to demonstrate its products support the latest industry standards such as FHIR and can be used by healthcare providers and patients. It also helps to promote interoperability and data exchange in the healthcare industry, which can improve patient care and outcomes.
The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) is at the forefront of the administration’s health IT efforts and is a resource to the entire health system to support the adoption of health information technology and the promotion of nationwide, standards-based health information exchange to improve health care. ONC is organizationally located within the Office of the Secretary for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
ONC is the principal federal entity charged with coordination of nationwide efforts to implement and use the most advanced health information technology and the electronic exchange of health information. The position of National Coordinator was created in 2004, through an Executive Order, and legislatively mandated in the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH Act) of 2009.
Through its work, ONC remains focused on two strategic objectives:
Applied Research Works, Inc. is a health information technology and software as a services (SaaS) company. Its flagship product, Cozeva, is an interoperable data ecosystem that supports FHIR standards, combining cloud-based data analytics, a real-time metrics engine, submission services, and provider dashboards that directly engage patients and caregivers, and collaborative health records for AMP, HEDIS, and Risk Adjustment. Cozeva holds current certified status with NCQA, HITRUST, and ONC for the above functionality.
