Cozeva at the NCQA 2022 Health Innovation Summit

NCQA 2022 Health Innovation Summit took place October 31st-November 4th at the Marriott Marquis in Washington DC. This summit’s key themes were quality, health equity, and value-based care! This event brought together healthcare industry leaders, payers, organizations, and providers seeking to improve the delivery of quality healthcare for better patient health outcomes.

Cozeva is honored to be a part of the NCQA ecosystem and supports the NCQA mission to improve the quality of healthcare. As a population health tool, our partnership will continue to foster improved healthcare quality, risk, and case management.

It was also great attending the educational breakout sessions and learning about groundbreaking research and innovations for health equity and whole patient care. We enjoyed networking and exchanging ideas with speakers and guests.

We also enjoyed meeting others at the private dinner and networking reception hosted by NCQA. We can agree that a common theme throughout the conference was that as we move from a pay-for-performance healthcare system, quality is our central focus for patients, payers, and providers for value based care.

Advancing health equity through trust – The core of Cozeva’s 5th Annual UGM

October 19-21, 2022 – Applied Research Works, Inc. hosted its 5th annual User Group Meeting in San Diego at the Pendry Hotel. This year’s conference theme was trust; more specifically how trust advances health equity. Throughout the conference, attendees learned about how our company is earning your trust, how we build trust with you, and how we are building trust with each other, and at the center of it all is the patient.

The User Group was kicked off with Yin Ling Leung, former CEO and Chair, acknowledging how much we’ve grown in the last 10 years and will continue to grow as Yin and Shaibal step down and pass the baton (metaphorically and literally) to ARW’s new CEO, Khanh Nguyen.

This year’s conference had three keynote speakers to start each day off. Day 2’s keynote speaker was Dr. Lauren Taylor (faculty member of the New York University Grossman School of Medicine and expert in trust in US Healthcare). She spoke on how to “Build and Sustain Trust” in healthcare.

The session took the audience through an arc of:

What is it that people are reacting to that is making them take action to rebuild trust? What does the data look like in this trust crisis in the US
Sharing a synthesis of her research on what’s been done on trust in healthcare specifically over the past 50 years, and ended with
7 suggestions and best practices for building and sustaining trust.

Another favorite session of the conference was a client showcase given by Lina de La Rosa (Senior Director of the Quality Improvement Department) and Glad Jaranilla (Sr. Project Manager, Quality Improvement) from Optum about their provider rollout and the different functionalities and tools they use within Cozeva to engage their users.

Our 3-day conference was full of other client showcases, industry leader presentations, breakout sessions, and Cozeva feature highlights sprinkled throughout the days. Despite the packed agenda, there were many opportunities to network and build community with one another during our networking reception, strolling dinner, and in-between session breaks.

Thank you to all who attended this year’s User Group! We are so glad you could join us to learn about trust and build relationships with one another as we build out this Cozeva ecosystem together.
