Historically, the period between January and mid-February has been a frantic time for supplemental data submission as it was considered “non-standard”. NCQA Validation takes a prospective, end-to-end look at data streams.
- Process standards review focuses on how data are managed: how data are ingested, the data validation process, coding integrity, quality assurance and change management, governance and data security.
- The final continuity of care document must conform with the NCQA Continuity of Care Document Implementation Guide. This is evaluated through synthetic test decks and actual sample CCD cases.
- Primary source verification verifies that the information in the final CCD matches the source data.
